Commercial professional activities are in constant relation with the technical and social reality. Technological and social changes create the need for new interconnections between people and commercial activities. Free software can play a key role in allowing the creation of neutral platforms on which commercial activities can take advantage of the direct communication with the customer allowed by the new technical possibilities. Future scenarios need to be discussed and analyzed from as many points of views as possible.
